Character actor, specializing in distinguished roles. Playing 'Perry White' in Columbia's SUPERMAN (1948) serial and 1950 sequel, Mr. Watkin appeared several times in the 1950s SUPERMAN television series. After the 1958 death of the TV series' costar John Hamilton, Watkin was hired to fill the role of 'Mr. White' (brother of 'Perry')... an opportunity derailed by the death of star George Reeves.
