Daughter-in-law of producer/director Jules White, she was also billed as Ruth Godfrey White in the last 3 of her Stooges appearances. Came to Columbia in the mid 1940s as a member of The Jack Cole Dancers, along with Stooge supporting actresses Nita Bieber and Gloria Patrice, her RHYTHM AND WEEP costars.

Some sources co-mingle Ruth's credits with actress Ruth White... Ruth Godfrey White and Ruth White are 2 different people; our Ruth Godfrey White is not the actress who costarred in MIDNIGHT COWBOY, HANG 'EM HIGH, live TV dramas, etc.
