Al Jolson guest-starred with Ted Healy in A NIGHT IN SPAIN during its final weeks, March 1928, at the 4 Cohans Grand Opera House in Chicago, IL. A March 24 cast & crew tribute to Jolson at the Rainbo Gardens nightclub led to Ted and Shemp, with Jolson, meeting Rainbo's M.C. Larry Fine, and the invitation to Larry to join Ted's act.
