Great Curly classic! It's not his best, but it's a typical golden-era (1940-1943) gem that keeps a fast pace and has plenty of punishment, antics, and gags. There are several scenes in this one, and all are good. But I have a definite favorite: the ice fishing scene. This one is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS from start to finish, although it only lasts two minutes or so.Besides that, Moe is punishing Larry and Curly constantly and seems pretty ticked off through the whole film. A few eyepokes would have been nice, but still great. Finally, you've got to love Curly's gliding in the snow with guitars as "snow shoes."Rating: 8/10

I love this short too! Constant mayhem and the ice-fishing scenes are hilarious! I noticed that Curly is constantly getting ganged and beaten up on by Moe and Larry. A classic.4 pokes

I LOVE THIS SHORT! Curly was great here, but I also like it because I love the woods and nature, and the girls! If I could spell a wolf whistle,I would. I'm SO smitten with Lorna Gray! The others aren't bad to look at either!ISLIPP on the ice, knocking Moe down into the hole again! ®2001

I think this is my all-time favorite Curly short. The man is so "on" every minute you don't want to miss a thing. Watch Curly in this and see if you notice how hyper he was. I love it! Don't know what caused his extra energy but it's really evident , imo.

You gotta love them Escrow Indians. "Two sundowns - scram!"I think Belch might've gotten his cuties mixed up, but Lorna really took off, looks-wise, with the name change to Adrian Booth Bryan. Look for her in NAZTY SPY; if she IS underage, she wouldn't be the first 16-year-old going on 25.Besides, Doc, I think I've found a new Stooge goddess - the dazzling Ethelreda Leopold (yes, that unfortunately IS her stage name!)
