When a man on the street gives the duo money, Bud tears it up thinking it's counterfeit. But when the man turns out to be a wealthy philanthropist, Bud suffers a nervous breakdown, and is taken to the Retired Actors Home to recover. Lou visits, and the team puts on a show for the patients, performing the classic "Who's on 1st?" Earlier, when Lou watches Mr. Bacciagalupe's ice cream wagon, Stinky substitutes limburger cheese for the vanilla ice cream. 'Stinky' (Joe Besser) engages Lou in a game of slapstick hop-scotch, and later sickens Lou at the drug store counter with a soft drink request of Coca-Cola mixed with castor oil. The scene was supposed to be filmed with honey, but as a practical joke, Costello used real castor oil. To Besser's credit, he never broke character and waited until the director said "cut," before he turned deathly green and became sick offscreen. Warehousemen (the Stooges) and truckers (also the Stooges) come through, and our pharmacists deliver the product to three men (who else, but the Stooges?) with a hot date and gifts of flowers, candy, and Aqua Net!
