MODERN FAMILY - Send Out the Clowns

Air Date/Released Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Station/Studio ABC / 20th Century Fox Television

Life in three branches of a close-knit family... 1) Jay Pritchett and his trophy wife and stepson, 2) Jay’s daughter Claire, her husband and three children, 3) and Jay’s gay son Mitchell, his husband Cameron and their adopted daughter.

Jay and Gloria are afraid that Manny’s new friend hangs around because he admires them, Claire joins Facebook and can’t understand why her daughters won’t “friend” her, retired professional clown Cameron reunites with his former partner after the death of his mentor, and Phil tries to land a real estate listing while competing with an unscrupulous rival. Phil uses a sympathy angle against his rival, employing his son Nolan to turn on the tears and convince her to stop competing. Impressed by his skill at fake crying, Phil wants to try it himself to get sex from his wife...
Phil: Quick! What’s the trick to those fake tears?
Luke: The Three Stooges are all dead.
Phil: Yeah, that’s good.
