After the war and the “death” of Captain America, Peggy Carter relocates to the U.S. as an Agent of the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), the forerunner of S.H.I.E.L.D. Initially relegated to clerical duties, Carter proves herself exceptionally capable in spite of the continued disdain of her male peers and the political ambitions of the department chief. Complicating her situation, Peggy finds herself recruited for investigations on behalf of scientific genius and government contractor Howard Stark.
Reassigned to Los Angeles to investigate the strange death of a woman in a frozen lake, Peggy is embroiled in a conspiracy of powerful businessmen and politicians to gain control of a recently discovered other-dimensional power source known as “dark matter.” Leading the evil council is popular Hollywood star Whitney Frost, who is determined to gain ultimate power at any costs. Peggy, section chief Daniel Souza and Stark’s butler Edwin Jarvis regroup to stop Frost's plan to absorb all "dark matter," only to be unexpectedly confronted by ambitious and doubting SSR Chief Jack Thompson ...
Look at the three... Larry, Curly, could you give me a moment? I need to have a word with Moe.
