Joey Barnes is an L.A. Public Relations executive, working at a Hollywood advertising agency, whose clients frequently include celebrities. Single and still living at home, Joey's easygoing manner is often taken advantage of by his boss, and even his family who think his job makes him a player in the Hollywood community.
Mrs. Barnes can't pass up a bargain, and buys a Santa and four reindeer figures which she prominently displays on the front lawn with the idea that Christmas cheer should be a year-round feeling. Unfortunately, it's March and Jillson and the other neighbors aren't pleased when the display attracts sightseers, so they take Joey to court to have it removed.
