JOEY BISHOP SHOW, THE - Must the Show Go On?

Air Date/Released Wednesday, April 11, 1962
Station/Studio NBC / Danny Thomas Enterprises
Featuring Joe Besser (Solo)

Joey Barnes is an L.A. Public Relations executive, working at a Hollywood advertising agency, whose clients frequently include celebrities. Single and still living at home, Joey's easygoing manner is often taken advantage of by his boss, and even his family who think his job makes him a player in the Hollywood community.

Against the wishes of Women's Club President Mrs. Simmons, Mrs. Barnes produces an amateur talent contest as a fundraiser. Getting Joey to direct and M.C., with Jillson as his assistant, may not be enough to help when an influx of neighborhood amateurs line up for a show that promises to run 7 hours, or more.
