Air Date/Released Wednesday, August 31, 1983
Station/Studio Syndicated / Paramount
Host/Star Mary Hart & Ron Hendren
Featuring Miscellaneous Appearances

Daily (Monday - Friday, plus a one-hour weekend edition) entertainment newsmagazine, which premiered on September 14, 1981 and successfully continues through today.

A 2-&-1/4 minutes report on The Three Stooges' Hollywood Walk of Fame star (Vine & Selma Sts., 2 blocks south of Hollywood Blvd. in L.A.) unveiled by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on August 30, 1983. Joe Besser received the honor of unveiling the star; Joe DeRita was ill and could not attend. Actor, comedian and radio announcer Gary Owens hosted the ceremony (and sponsored the star), attended by celebrities and Stooge family members. Closing ET's story, that night's premiere of 50 YEARS WITH THE STOOGES: THE FUNNIEST GUYS IN THE WORLD (1983) is mentioned. Accompanying the story, film clips from HOLLYWOOD ON PARADE # B9 (1934), DISORDER IN THE COURT (1936) and DANCING LADY (1933) are shown.

In addition to ET's report, most Los Angeles television stations covered the event, and many of those stations' network affiliates syndicated the reports nationally, e.g., a 3-minute report on KNXT-TV Channel 2 (reported by Gary Franklin) was picked up by affiliates like WCBS in NYC; NBC, ABC and independent services did likewise.

The Stooge impersonators were portrayed by the same actors who did the Stooges on a 1981 episode of JESSICA NOVAK; Michael Tucci ('Moe') who costarred on DIAGNOSIS: MURDER with Dick Van Dyke; Danny Goldman ('Larry'), the argumentative medical student in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN; and Barry Pearl of CPO SHARKEY was 'Curly.' Ira Steven Behr played the Stooges' straight-man, and was the writer of the NOVAK episode; he is a prominent TV writer/producer (STAR TREK DS9, CRASH, many more).
