This popular game show featured a celebrity panel of 4, in a host-moderated Q&A format, who must guess which of 3 guests is the person described in an introductory bio-summary. Guests' prize amounts were awarded based on their ability to fool the panel, particularly thru the best efforts of the 2 "imposters." TRUTH had a successful daytime CBS run 1956 - 1968, and syndication from 1969 - 1978 & 1980 - 1981. It briefly returned on NBC daytime during the 1990 - 1991 season.

Moe's daughter Joan Howard Maurer was the subject of the episode aired on April 30, 1991. Of the 4 panelists, only regular Kitty Carlisle (A NIGHT AT THE OPERA) correctly ID'ed Joan as Moe's daughter. Following the game, Joan introduced a clip from the families' home movies featuring the guests at her Uncle Jerry's (Curly) 1939 wedding to Elaine Ackerman.

During the game, actor/author Orson Bean expressed his love of The Three Stooges. Mr. Bean was a 1965 co-founder of The Sons of the Desert, the Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society.
