Speakers and entertainment at the annual Jewish Consumptive Relief Society dinner was broadcast by New York's WMCA-AM. Entertainers included Ted Healy.
At this time, Ted (and his "replacement" stooges Mousie Garner, Dick Hakins and Jack Wolf) had recently finished the closing of the Broadway show THE GANG'S ALL HERE on Mar. 9 at the Imperial Theatre. They were doing some live appearances in the New York City area and rehearsing for the upcoming Broadway extravaganza BILLY ROSE'S CRAZY QUILT which opened on May 19, 1931 at the 44th St. Theatre.
It's not known if Healy's stooges participated in this broadcast event.
