Radio disc jockey and TV host Al Collins hosted a popular morning talk show on KGO-TV San Francisco in the 1960s.

The Stooges appeared on Collins' program at approximately the 7:25AM mark, while spending three days in San Francisco, Feb. 16 - 18, 1962, during the national promotional tour of THE THREE STOOGES MEET HERCULES (1962) and that film's premiere at the Paramount Theater.


Collins was a popular New York DJ in the 1950s with his program of jazz and pop standards on WNEW. In 1957 he hosted NBC's THE TONIGHT SHOW for thirteen weeks, between Steve Allen leaving the show and Jack Paar coming in as its new star.
