Ann Sothern plays Katy O'Connor, assistant manager of NYC's plush Bartley House Hotel. Plots revolved around escapades at work, her romantic life, and comedic situations with roommate and best friend Olive Smith.

A Bartley House stockholder demands that Katy be fired after she appears on a radio show and defends the rights of native Americans.
