Nightclub entertainer Danny Williams deals with the laughs, trials and tribulations of work and family life, with his loud, boisterous personality wrapped around a soft heart.

Mailman Mr. Thompson complains that he needs help, so little Linda decides to help him by lightening his burden... by lightening his mailbag. Neighbors notice that mail is missing, and Danny reports it to the postal authorities. Kathy discovers Linda's cache of letters and scrambles to deliver them herself, and when Danny and Charley see her they jump to the conclusion that Kathy is a kleptomaniac. Danny panics and tries to head off the postal investigator.
