Made-for-video bonus featurette from the 2011 BluRay "Tom and Jerry Golden Collection Vol. 1" and re-released on 2025's BluRay "Tom and Jerry: The Golden Era Anthology."

The influences and inspirations of vaudevile and silent & sound comedy films in the creation of the 1940 - 1958 MGM Tom & Jerry cartoons is examined. Toon character creators Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera are featured in archival interviews, along with present day animation historians and creators.

The Three Stooges appear in several clips taken from MEET THE BARON (1933) and GOLD RAIDERS (1951).
