Spike Jones & His City Slickers, and Helen Grayson (Mrs. Jones) star in this half-hour mix of comedy skits, music "played straight," and Jones' musical spoofs featuring his band's antics, and their trademark use of cowbells, foghorns, slide whistles and other paraphenalia standing in for instruments.
Joe Besser guest stars as a warden in a musical-comedy sketch with Jones and fellow guest Eddy Arnold.
